Founder & Co-owner

I have created a life I absolutely love, despite the past challenges of anxiety, depression, perfectionism and food and body image woes, and would be honored to help you create your roadmap to happiness and healing, building a life that you, too, absolutely love.

In our partnership you can expect unwavering support, a safe space for you to share vulnerable thoughts, exploration of the root cause of the challenges you are facing and our collaboration in building coping and self-care skills. I am a promoter and firm believer of body kindness, self-care and self-compassion.

Above all, I work with you, where you are, at a pace that feels right to you.

I’ve been told that I am "nurturing" and "centered" and believe these are important qualities in our work together.  Therapy with me is untraditional in that we will laugh and I hope you look forward to our sessions, despite the challenges of working through vulnerable and hard “stuff”. Therapy with me presents itself as traditional, as our work is highly confidential and I am a credentialed and experienced professional trained to support you on your journey. I practice from a Health at Every Size (HAES) and Intuitive Eating approach when supporting healthy relationships with one's body and food.

I am a Pennsylvania Licensed Clinical Social Worker who utilizes various therapeutic modalities in our work together, as I do not believe therapy is "one size fits all". I presented most recently for the National Association of Social Workers and the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP) on the topics of mindfulness, trauma and the eating disorder population. Furthermore, I also serve as the In House Mental Health Professional for DiveThru, an app founded to promote mental wellness.

As a psychotherapist, I am experienced in collaborating with adults and families struggling with substance use disorders. I have had the privilege to provide support to remarkable individuals at various levels of the treatment continuum (hospital, inpatient rehab, halfway home, intensive outpatient, outpatient, and prevention).

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Pennsylvania Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, I specialize in the treatment of substance use disorders. I am also a certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist, with experience to address the challenges related to nicotine addiction.

I use various therapeutic approaches to address the intricate challenges which underlie substance use. Depending on your needs, I may utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic, motivational interviewing, harm reduction, and eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR) to address trauma, create calm, and enhance motivation. I believe everyone’s journey is unique.

I have experience with partnering to incorporate Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT) into the therapeutic process. Medications such as Buprenorphine (Suboxone) and Naltrexone (Vivitrol) can be very effective in combination with supportive counseling, accountability, and behavior change.

Substance use is a disease and should be treated as such. No one wakes up thinking, “Today is the day I will lose everything to substance use”, as the path is both complex and traumatic. I also believe that not all substance use will lead to addiction. We can certainly discuss (if any) underlying reasons for use, concerns, and how to make use safer.

Specific areas I treat:

  • Stimulant Use Disorders - Methamphetamine, Cocaine

  • Opiate Use Disorders - Heroin, Narcotics, Oxycodone

  • Alcohol Use Disorders

  • HIV+ Individuals and couples - (Serodiscordant, U=U)

  • ChemSex - Crystal Meth, Poppers, Ketamine, GHB/GBL

  • Tobacco/Nicotine/Vaping Cessation - Cigarettes, Chew/Dip and Vaping

  • Family Education and Support

  • Advanced Trauma Therapy through EMDR
